AB Joe @TweeitChizone Oh God I can't even tell this story and not cry. I used to manage an LGBT bookstore, when bookstores were still a thing. One night, a caller says he thinks he might be gay and is considering self-harm. We were not a crisis center! But as long as were talking, he's safe, right?
Well the day came for me to run his card, he called me to remind me. I thanked him, got off the phone and didn't charge him. Today he called realizing he hadn't been charged, I told him I didn't plan on charging him and was happy to be able to help. He couldn't talk for a bit, trying to compose himself. I got off the phone knowing I had made someone's day better. I know how hard it can be living on disability, my mom is on it. Sometimes even the littlest of things can help.
As a pizza delivery guy one of my favourite parts of the job is when I I deliver to people with kids. Food & Drinks They always just chant pizza guy pizza guy PIZZA GUY there always so excited and jumping around. No one makes me feel more important then kids chanting pizza ! Lol it's always the highlight of my shifts. kL
Today, my next door pregnant neighbor knocked on my door. Around 7 pm today, I heard some knocking on my door. I opened it and it was my next door pregnant neighbor (she was, I think, in her or Sth month). She was holding a small plate in her hand. In a very shy voice, she asked me if I can give her some of what ever I was cooking because she liked the smell. I think pregnant women sometimes have strong cravings and they can not resist it. Anyway, She was shy and apologized a lot for her request since we don't know each other. I laughed and told her it is ok I was cooking a traditional meal from my country and the recipe has olive oil, garlic, jalapenos poppers and some spices. I think the smell was nice. I gave her some of my dinner then she left. I watched her walking home like a cute little penguin who's happy with her successful little hunting I felt really happy too for some reason. I ate my dinner with a big smile on my face
