When it comes to being a positive person, don't believe that you either are or you aren't. Positivity can be learned. Just follow the basic formula to effect positive change in your life: trust in luck; practice, prepare, and focus; allow yourself to hope; act positively; banish the word worry; keep things in perspective; believe in yourself and not jinxes; and appreciate what you have.
