Jovanoviteln Id This field of daffodils in the neighboring town of Redding, Conn., has a touching story behind it. A retired high school teacher named Bud McQuade began planting daffodils on his property to honor his wife's memory. He planted more bulbs every year and eventually members of the community pitched in to help. When he died two years ago at the age of 103, a neighboring property owner bought the land to preserve the field and opened it for the community's enjoyment. There are now reportedly some 50,000 daffodils that stretch as far as the eye can see. So inspiring!
Jadav Payeng, the forest man of India, He started planting trees at the age of 16 and by now created 1360 acres of forest. He spend 36 years of life without getting any recognition for his work. His forest is now home of 100+ Elephants, Bengal Tigers, One Horned Rhino's and other species. He is still sells milk for livelihood.
