First, the fact that you had the kids play different positions... most coach's just care about trying to win vs allowing the kids the opportunity to learn different positions and get a chance to learn from different situations. Second, the fact that your son over other less advanced players sat an inning out to allow others to field. Most coaches would play their kids above any others.
