When II was very young, 10-12 years old, my father had hired someone on his company to create and manage the website as well as offer some basic IT support.
This person was self-taught and since I was very inclined to computers and technology in general, I went to the office and sat next to him at his workspace all the time after school and on Saturdays. Since his job was mostly support-based, he was spending a lot of his idle time learning and experimenting with various programing languages.
He was the one who planted the programming seed in my brain, and now I do what love for a living.
Today, about 25 years later, his son contacted me on
facebook, asking for my assistance as he started studying software engineering @ the university and was in need of guidance on where to start with mobile app development.
Now tell me, is there a better way to thank his father, other than helping his son?
