Monka (named after a Russian anti-personnel Mon-50 mine). She is with 58th Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade, a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in the war zone, Eastern Ukraine. She is so called because she is small and agile, always at the center of events. When Monka starts looking for shelter, everyone knows - soon something will happen, enemy artillery or rifle fire will start working. Monka shares with Ukrainian men and women soldiers all the severity of the war: mud, cold and danger. Also, their food, the best and tastiest bits always go to Monka.
