Norwegian armed forces in exile during WWII. He once saved the life of a young lieutenant commander by fighting off a kn we ding enemy.
Bamse would also break up fights among crew mates by putting his paws on their shoulder to calm them down. After his death, Bamse was buried with full military honors.
